The
Director's Welcome and Introduction
Dear
Students,
We
often think of education as a passive experience and
have come to view learning as mere absorption and
regurgitation of information and ideas that seem more a
collection of historical and empirical facts rather than
something alive and malleable. The Cambridge Experience
Programme takes the initiative in promoting education in
what we believe is its truest sense – as a culture of
learning.
This
programme finds its inspiration in the belief that
studying should be about challenging and fulfilling
oneself not only intellectually but also personally. It
is for this reason that we have formulated our
programmes to include opportunities to engage oneself
with one’s subjects of interest and to actively
participate in the acquisition of knowledge.
The
Experience, set in the University of Cambridge’s rich
historical grounds, provides students with an ideal
physical environment for personal and academic growth.
This programme is not for the student who is content
with mediocre. It is for the student who believes, like
us, that learning is about self-development and
empowerment, and that being truly educated means being
a thinker, a mover and a maker.
I hope
that the little I have shared of our vision has
motivated you to browse through our website and
seriously consider this programme. If you decide to join
us at Cambridge, we welcome you to a revolutionary way
of thinking and a better way of being.
Sincerely,
Andrew
Khoo
Director
of Cambridge Experience Programme
