G.P. Selvam graduated top of his law school at the National University of Singapore and was in private practice for about 22 years in one of Singapore's premier law firms and retired as senior partner to take up a berth in the Supreme Court. His judicial career began in 1991 when he was appointed Judicial Commissioner and was subsequently appointed Judge of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Singapore, a post he held until 2001 where he retired upon reaching constitutional retirement age. As a judge of the Supreme Court, he has 117 reported cases to his credit, many of which are landmark cases.
Mr. Selvam has since returned to the practice of law as a founding partner of Haq & Selvam where he now handles and directs the Civil Litigation and Arbitration in Haq and Selvam.
Mr. Selvam is also the Editor-in-Chief of Singapore Civil Procedure (Singapore version of English White Book) that was published in January 2003.

Mr. Pidot is a member of Shearman & Sterling’s Executive Group and is the firm’s Asia Managing Partner with the responsibility of overseeing the operations of the firm’s Asian offices, including Beijing, Hong Kong, Singapore and Tokyo. He served as the Managing Partner for the entire Firm from 1998 to 2001 and has also served as a member of the firm’s Policy Committee. Mr. Pidot is also the Managing Partner of the Singapore office and practices in the bank and structured finance area. Associate Professor at the Faculty of Law, National University of Singapore
Hans has degrees from Cambridge and Harvard, and lectures in securities regulation, company law, commercial and contract law, trusts and equity. He has published in international journals such as the Law Quarterly Review, Lloyd's Maritime and Commercial Law Quarterly and Journal of Business Law.
In various stints during his career, Hans has also been seconded to the Monetary Authority of Singapore and the Ministry of Law. He was a member of the Ministry of Finance's Company Legislation and Regulatory Framework Committee, and is currently a consultant to Wong Partnership's Banking, Finance & Corporate Practice Group.
