Pre-law Scholars Programme

Admissions Pre-Requisites

The admission process is highly competitive. We expect many applicants to be fully qualified for the program, and the Admissions Board must select from among a large number of candidates who have excellent credentials.

Academic Ability
Consequently, during the application review process, primary emphasis is placed on academic grades. In evaluating applications, consideration will be placed on letters of recommendation (where necessary), personal accomplishments, performance in community activities and cultural background. It is expected that the successful applicants should rank at least in the top 20% of their cohort. In exceptional cases, we are prepared to admit lower-ranked applicants who display a level of enthusiasm that is commensurate to the high level of commitment required for the PSP.

Career Goals
Cambridge Alliance Centre seeks to select and admit those applicants who are deemed to have the best prospect of high quality academic work and who are considering going to law school as an option. Nevertheless, we are not averse to taking on applicants who are unsure about their choice of study at this stage, but who clearly display a level of maturity and a mind-set that is in tune with the PSP as we are of the view that the skill sets developed during the PSP will equally be useful in their later chosen disciplines.

Letters of Recommendation & Interviews
Letters of recommendation may be requested and/or personal interviews may be conducted if we are unable to obtain a complete and accurate picture of the applicant from the materials furnished.
