English Literature (EGL)

For centuries, Cambridge has been closely associated with writers such as Christopher Marlowe, William Wordsworth, Lord Byron, Virginia Woolf and present well known figures such as Emma Thompson and Jeremy Paxman.

Students will have the opportunity to explore the issues that have shaped the English literature and language, and its historical development. The course will also inculcate their passion for literature, inspire the students’ reading, and develop their critical and imaginative abilities.

Law (LAW)

Studied at Cambridge since the 13th century, Law has been an intellectual discipline in a subject of universal human interest. Whether the students have a background in arts or science, or a mix of the two, there are no pre-requisites.

This course will give the students the opportunity to be introduced to law in its historical and social context and to examine its general principles and techniques.

Medicine (MED)

While the path towards a medical degree is both difficult and challenging, medicine is also an immensely satisfying profession. Students who have intentions to study medicine need to understand the amount of dedication and hard work needed to become a good doctor.

This course will provide an insight into the study of medical science. It will serve as a prelude to the students’ pursuit before entering their chapter of life in medicine.

Management (MGM)

Becoming a competent manager needs more than just getting a business degree. It requires experience, leadership, confidence and self-motivation. While the course is not strictly academic in nature, it will aim to provide students an introduction to the understanding of the management and the various aspects that relate to the practise of management.

Students will begin to understand the application of critical analysis in making decisions at the management level, and be aware of the responsibilities of managers in an economic, social and environmental context.
