Welcome

Introducing students of excellence to the Cambridge phenomenon

Each winter, Cambridge Alliance Centre offers students across the Far East the remarkable opportunity to experience life as a student in selected universities of outstanding reputation. These include Ivy League universities in the United States as well as Oxford and Cambridge in the United Kingdom.

The programme is open to Junior College students and University Undergraduates (students of ages between 15 and 21) with a keen interest in self-development. The Admissions board may choose to admit a limited number of promising final year secondary school students who are completing their GCE O-Level examinations in that particular year.

The Cambridge Winter School Programme

The Cambridge Winter School Programme is a unique experience for students from the Far East who are keen on engaging in all-rounded, interactive learning with lecturers and members of the University of Cambridge. Apart from classroom style education, learning is enhanced and enriched through visits and field trips to places of historical value and cultural significance, such as London National Gallery, Buckingham Palace, Hyde Park, Tower of London, Madame Tussauds, Greenwich, British Museum and the renowned Oxford city. Taking in theatre performances in London’s West End are also included in the itinerary.

An experience that will certainly add value to a student’s life, this programme looks into broadening intellectual as well as cultural and personal horizons. Students can expect to be evaluated on their academic performance and given a detailed lecturer’s report on their strengths and areas that need improvement.

Students will live together in Cambridge’s Sidney Sussex College. Our experienced and reliable staff will supervise all academic and non-academic activities, including field trips to London and Oxford. We believe that every student will find including this experience in his or her future university applications to be very advantageous.
